The very first ISO/IEC 15118 Testival was held as part of the German research project eNterop which was partly funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy and was hosted at the premises of the Communication Networks Insitute, TU Dortmund (eNterop consortium member). The test event covered tests of communication controllers (ECUs) of Electric Vehicles and Charging Stations against the test system that was developed as part of the eNterop research project. The eNterop project concluded at the end of 2014 and was at that time the main contributor for the conformance test specifications of ISO/IEC 15118 (Part 4 & 5).
